I love making gradients and really enjoy trying to emulate the gradients around us. There’s such a wealth of beautiful things to look at. Flowers, butterfly wings, the amazing birds we have here in Australia … all are sources for a gradient.
I’ve had the idea to make a gradient inspired by a Crocus for some time … it’s been bubbling away in my mind trying to resolve the orange purple fade where the two colours become a brownish line… my first attempt hasn’t seen the light of day. So, the place where the two colours meet has to be small and faded to minimise the colour mixing at that point…
I’m so happy with how it turned out!
