For the first time I'm offering an Advent Yarn Club ... It should be a lot of fun!

I'm basing it around my adventure earlier this year when I toured around Ireland visiting 5,000 year old Neolithic burial sites and admiring the beautiful celtic stone and metal work in the Museums... so my colours are based (in theory) on that wonderful adventure. You will have to wait to see what emerges.

I aim to ship the skeins in one shipment early November to give you a chance to select a pattern and get yourself organised (I did consider designing one myself but that will have to be next year if I ever do it). There are a number of patterns you could use - and Ambah O'Brian (on Ravelry) has quite a few beautiful patterns suitable for an advent knit. I'll be letting you know of any more I find along the way.

I'm offering the club in three different yarns. All will be wound into 20 gms skeins by Green Tea Yarns (these are not purchased in 20gm skeins which would be a lot easier)! For this reason places are strictly limited to 3 places per base.

White Cloud: - Non superwash and delicously soft and beautiful. One of my premium yarns. See Base Information page for more information about this gorgeous yarn

Darjeeling: My best selling sock yarn. Soft and durable too.

Billy 4- an all 4 ply Australian merino. It runs a bit on the thin side for a 4 ply but would be perfect for a wrap or light weight blanket. Non Superwash and no nylon either. Slightly fussy to dye but I'm hoping to master it for the Advent yarn club! I’ve recently been able to add this to the options so hopefully it’s all systems go!

Simply select your chosen yarn base from the drop down menu.

I have kept all the yarns at the base price and not charged extra for the small skeins. As this is my first time around I expect there to be a few teething problems so....

There is one lot of postage to be paid on each shipment. These will weigh 500 grams plus gifts and packaging, so there is no room for additional yarn in the package.

Depending on numbers and people participating I will set up a group of us on Messenger. It will be called "A Celtic Adventure". It is not essential you join but makes it easier for me to communicate any information that I may have about the yarn, progress, games, etc. Please feel free to remove yourself from the group if it's not what you want.
