Bloody Shame is one of my very first gradients now revisited. Going from a deep rich red through the greys to a deep black. The black on the original is a little plum tinged. I will be working it in other bases and will update the photos with photos of those bases as they become available.
The choice of base can affect the colours slightly.
Bloody Shame - Various Fibres
Chai: 100% Tussah silk. Soft and drapey... slight lustre. Beautiful for evening tops and fine lace. Also suitable for weavers. Considered to be a cobweb weight.
100gms - 1000 metres/cobweb, 1 ply weight.
Echinacea: 70% Swiss Mulberry Silk, and 30% Alpaca. Lustrous, rich and not what you think of when you think Alpaca. A gorgeous rich yarn.
100gms - 750 metres/ laceweight, 2 ply weight.
White Cloud f: 50% Swiss Mulberry silk and 50% silky Merino wool. Gorgeous and soft - totally luxurious.
