For the first time I'm offering an Advent style Yarn Club for Christmas in July ... It should be a lot of mid year fun!
I'm basing it around the glorious colourful images from the Hubble telescope with lots for heavenly colours and images to work with! You will have to wait to see what emerges, but this will not be a surprise as I reveal the colours as I work on them - more images coming soon!
I aim to ship the skeins in one shipment early June to give you a chance to select a pattern and get yourself organised. There are a number of previous patterns you could use - Kerry of Down the Yarn Hole is designing a surprise Poncho for the occasion!
I'm only offering the club in the one yarn this time and all will be wound into 23+ gms skeins by Green Tea Yarns (these are not purchased in 20gm skeins which would be a lot easier as the yarns I prefer to use are not available in mini skeins)! For this reason places are strictly limited to 12 places.
The schedule is: April Marketing, May dye (and chat), and June mail out, July knit along in the messenger group (I might have a look at the Facebook groups to see if that fits our needs too).
Bush - I came across this beautiful Australian yarn last year when I had to find some close to home yarn alternatives for my end of year Advent Kits. Suffice it to say I've been impressed enough to include it in my regular line up of yarns as well as being able to offer it in these Advent kit forms.
There is one lot of postage to be paid on each shipment. These will weigh 600 grams plus a couple of gifts and packaging, so I will be trying hard to keep these packages under 1 kilo .
I will set up a group of us on Messenger so we can chat and share our progress. It is not essential you join but makes it easier for me to communicate any information that I may have about the yarn, progress, games, etc. Please feel free to remove yourself from the group if it's not what you want, but I do hope you will join in the fun!
Heavenly Bodies - Bush sock yarn
Bush 4 is an all Australian Merino sock yarn - 3 plies and soft just as merino can be. It's a superwash yarn and dyes beautifully with the dyes I use.
