Ming Red is a beautiful and unusual Terracotta red/pink colour based on the walls of the Forbidden Temple and other painted red buildings in China. A soft chalky but winey pink with touches of a warm claret perhaps. It was really hard to photograph the softness and richness of this colour and yarn. Tonal variations run throughout the skeins and ranges from a soft brick pink to a deeper wine red with occasional flashes of something darker.
A beautiful single ply tussah silk yarn, that is gutsy and bold and destined to make some lovely 4 ply weight garments - perfect for an evening top, summer T or special occasion item.

Dye to Order yarns go from being on a cone, wound on a skein winder to 100gms, soaked for 2 days to remove any remaining seracin in the fibres, dyed (sometimes a 2 day process), dried (2/3 days), reskeined, and packaged. This usually takes a minimum of 2 weeks. Please bear this in mind when ordering.
