One of my rare forays into variegated yarn dyeing and based on my travels to Japan and Sashiko workshops. Features indigo blue with areas of silver grey and grey speckles.
Variegated sock yarn suitable for cardigans, sweaters, simple shawls (anything with too much detail gets lost in the variegation of the yarn) and even the odd sock :-)
6 skeins ooak - teams beautifully with Silver Cloud and Starry Nights.
Sashiko - 4ply sock yarn in merino and nylon - Darjeeling
4 ply fingering weight. 100g - 400metres
Darjeeling sock yarn: 85% Australian superwash merino, 15% nylon.
A soft smooth sock base that dyes up like a dream into anything I can dream up! A soft but firm sock base with good stitch definition.
It is recommended that you hand wash in cool to luke warm water with a wool wash to prevent dissociating. Slight bleeding may occur but should not effect the final colour. The merino is superwash but the dyes not. (However, I'm not hand washing my socks so there)!
