Spice Trade was one of those colours that never quite settled ... I had dreams of a deep rich earthy brown, but it went through many other machinations first. This looks a beautiful umber brown with colours ranging from a cool coffee to a rich peat. Tonal variation throughout the skein.
Spice Trade ooak - 2 Ply in silk and alpaca
2 ply, lace yarn. 100 g = 700 metres
Echinacea: 70% Silk & 30% Alpaca
A semi glossy and luxurious Royal alpaca and silk lace yarn, spun in Switzerland.
When knitted this yarn has really great stitch definition, good strength (due to the silk) and has a lovely handle and drape. The silk provides enough strength to hold beads, whilst the alpaca gives it a sleek softness.
It is recommended that you hand wash in cool to luke warm water with a special silk detergent. Slight bleeding may occur but should not effect the final color.
