Jasmine 8 Ply DK – Merino Silk (Superwash)

Jasmine 8 Ply DK combines the softness of merino with the lustrous beauty of silk in an even blend of 50% superwash merino and 50% silk. With a slightly tighter twist than our Jasmine 4 Ply, this yarn offers excellent stitch definition, durability, and a smooth, even finish while retaining the elegant drape and subtle sheen that make silk so desirable.

At 212 metres per 100 grams, Jasmine 8 Ply is perfectly suited to sweaters, cardigans, shawls, cowls, hats, and other accessories where warmth and softness are desired without excess weight. The tighter twist helps stitches stand out beautifully, making it an excellent choice for textured patterns, cables, and colourwork.

Suggested needle size: 3.75mm – 4.5mm
Gauge: Approximately 20–24 stitches per 10cm (depending on tension and project)

Jasmine 8 Ply works beautifully on its own, showcasing the depth and richness of hand-dyed colour. It can also be paired with our mohair and silk base, Shui Yun, to create a fabric with added softness, halo, and dimension.

Care Instructions:
Hand wash gently in cool water using a wool wash. Although the merino is superwash treated, hand washing will help preserve the beauty, softness, and longevity of both the silk and the hand-dyed colours. Roll in a towel to remove excess moisture and lay flat to dry out of direct sunlight.
