Candy Pink

Candy Pink is a lively, clear pink with a lovely balance of sweetness and depth. It has a rich, rosy quality, with subtle variations in tone that bring out the natural sheen and texture of the yarn. Neither too pale nor overly bright, this shade has a cheerful character while retaining a softness that makes it easy to pair with other colours.

Candy Pink works beautifully on its own for a statement piece, or alongside soft neutrals, lilacs, purples and deeper pinks for a more layered colour palette. A lovely choice for shawls, scarves, cardigans and other hand-knitted or crocheted projects where pink takes centre stage.

Anise 4 Ply Silk & Linen Yarn

Anise is a silk and linen blend with a beautiful sheen and a light, summery texture. After searching for a suitable 4 ply silk and linen yarn and trialling alternatives, I had this yarn specially milled for Green Tea Yarns by my usual silk mill in Switzerland.

The combination of mulberry silk and linen gives Anise a lovely drape and a subtle lustre, making it a good choice for summer tops, lightweight garments and shawls. Anise is also available in 2 ply lace weight and 8 ply DK, offering options for a range of projects.

Yarn Specifications

  • Composition: 65% mulberry silk, 35% linen

  • Yarn weight: 4 ply / fingering

  • Length: 400 metres per 100g skein

  • Other weights available: 2 ply lace weight and 8 ply DK

Knitting & Crochet

  • Suggested knitting needles: 3–3.5 mm

  • Suggested crochet hook: 3–3.5 mm

  • Typical gauge: Approximately 24–28 stitches per 10 cm in stocking stitch, depending on needle size and desired fabric.

These are suggested starting points only. A tension swatch is recommended, particularly for garments where drape and fit are important.

Care Instructions

Hand wash gently in lukewarm water using a suitable wool wash. Avoid agitation, rubbing or sudden changes in water temperature. Some colour bleeding may occur during washing, but this should not affect the main colour of the yarn. Rinse gently if needed and dry flat, away from direct sunlight.

Hand-Dyed Yarn

Green Tea Yarns skeins are hand-dyed in small batches. Subtle variations in colour are part of the hand-dyeing process, so skeins may differ slightly. For larger projects, alternate skeins every few rows to help blend any variations.
