Charred Wood is a deep, layered OOAK colourway inspired by timber blackened and weathered by fire. Rich charcoal and softened black mingle with dark earthy brown, while occasional flashes of pale ash grey break through the deeper tones.
The subtle movement between warm, smoky browns and cooler charcoal creates the appearance of burnt timber—darkened at its heart, with traces of silvered ash and exposed wood grain. Moody and beautifully varied, Charred Wood offers the depth of a near-black colour while retaining texture and detail throughout the skein.

Darjeeling Sock Yarn
Darjeeling is a beautifully soft and versatile 4 ply / fingering weight yarn, spun from 80% superwashed merino and 20% nylon. The merino gives the yarn its smooth, soft feel, while the addition of nylon provides extra strength and durability, making it particularly well suited to socks and other frequently worn projects.
Although designed with sock knitting in mind, Darjeeling is far more than a sock yarn. Its softness makes it comfortable to wear next to the skin, while its generous 400 metres per 100g provides plenty of scope for lightweight sweaters, cardigans, shawls, wraps, scarves, baby garments and accessories. It is a practical choice for projects that require both softness and resilience.
Darjeeling has good stitch definition and works well across a wide range of knitting and crochet styles. It can be used for simple stocking stitch, textured patterns, lace, cables and colourwork, allowing the details of your chosen pattern to show clearly. The superwashed merino takes colour beautifully, giving hand-dyed colourways depth and clarity.
The combination of merino and nylon creates a dependable, easy-care yarn suitable for everyday garments and accessories. Whether you are making a favourite pair of hand-knitted socks, a lightweight cardigan or a generously sized shawl, Darjeeling offers softness, versatility and durability in one reliable base.

Care Instructions
For the best care of your hand-dyed yarn and finished project, gently hand wash in cool water using a mild wool wash. Avoid excessive agitation and do not wring. Gently remove excess water and lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight.
Some colour may release during the first wash, particularly with darker or more saturated colourways. We recommend washing separately and using a colour catcher if combining light and dark colours in the same project.
As with all hand-dyed yarns, each skein is individual. If using more than one skein in a project, alternate skeins every few rows to blend any natural variations in colour.
