Cranberry Crush moves through rich cranberry reds, deep berry pinks and soft, dusky mauves. Brighter flashes of crushed raspberry appear between quieter passages of muted rose and plum, creating a beautifully layered colour with gentle variation throughout.

On the softly textured Billy base, the colours have a slightly mellow, natural quality. The tonal shifts remain distinct without feeling sharply contrasted, giving Cranberry Crush the depth and irregular beauty of crushed berries, with each skein carrying its own balance of vibrant cranberry and softened mauve.

Billy 4 Ply – Australian Merino Yarn

Billy is an exceptionally soft Australian merino yarn with a close connection to its origins. The merino wool is sourced from a farm in New South Wales before travelling across the Tasman to be spun in New Zealand. The result is a beautiful natural yarn that celebrates locally grown fibre and Australasian textile production.

Soft, light and lovely against the skin, Billy has the natural character and gentle texture of fine merino wool. As a non-superwash yarn, the fibres retain their natural qualities, giving the yarn a soft bloom and gentle grip that allows stitches to settle together beautifully. It is well suited to shawls, scarves, wraps, lightweight garments, colourwork and projects designed to be worn close to the skin.

Billy 4 Ply runs to a generous 476 metres per 100g, placing it on the lighter side of fingering weight. The generous meterage makes it particularly suitable for lacework, fine garments and projects where a soft, lightweight fabric is desired.

As Billy is non-superwash, it is prone to felting and needs to be handled with care. Hand wash separately in cool water using a wool-safe wash, avoiding agitation, rubbing and sudden changes in water temperature. Gently press out excess water without wringing, then reshape and dry flat.
