Gryphon #12
Gryphon #12 is a deep, earthy brown with a rich, smoky quality. It sits somewhere between dark chocolate, roasted coffee and warm charcoal, with subtle taupe and mushroom-brown undertones. The colour is gently tonal rather than completely flat, with lighter brown threads appearing throughout the skein and adding depth and movement.
There is a slightly softened, weathered quality to the brown, giving it a natural, understated feel rather than a bright or strongly warm chocolate tone. The darker areas deepen almost to espresso, while the lighter sections reveal hints of muted grey-brown.
A versatile, neutral colour, Gryphon #12 would work beautifully as a main colour for a sweater or cardigan, or alongside softer creams, warm neutrals, dusty pinks, muted greens and autumnal shades.
Darjeeling 4 Ply
Darjeeling is a beautifully soft and versatile 4 ply / fingering weight yarn made from 80% superwashed merino and 20% nylon. The merino gives this yarn its lovely softness and comfortable handle, while the nylon adds strength and durability without compromising its feel.
At 400 metres per 100g, Darjeeling is an excellent choice for socks, where the added nylon provides extra resilience for everyday wear. It is equally suited to lightweight sweaters, cardigans, shawls, wraps, scarves and other garments and accessories where softness, drape and durability are important.
The 4 ply construction gives good stitch definition and makes Darjeeling particularly adaptable to lace, textured stitches, cables and colourwork. It takes hand-dyed colour beautifully, allowing both subtle and highly saturated colourways to shine.

Care
Hand wash gently in cool water using a wool wash. Avoid soaking for extended periods, agitation and wringing. Gently squeeze out excess water and dry flat. Although the merino is superwashed, gentle handling will help maintain the appearance and softness of your finished project.
As with all hand-dyed yarns, we recommend alternating skeins when using more than one skein in a project to help blend natural variations between skeins.
