This gorgeous six-skein fade has been created for Knit for the Girls, a fundraising project bringing together Australian independent yarn dyers to raise money for breast cancer research in Australia.

The six colours move through a rich progression of beautiful purples, with each shade flowing into the next to create a deep, harmonious fade. Together, the six skeins make a stunning statement and provide plenty of yarn for a sweater, cardigan, shawl or other larger garment.

The kit contains six 100g skeins of Jasmine, giving you 2400 metres in total. The colours have been chosen to work beautifully together, creating a fade that can be enjoyed as a complete garment or used across a number of projects.

And there is an extra reason to love this kit: 20% of the sale price will be donated to breast cancer research in Australia.

As with all hand-dyed yarns, there may be subtle variations between skeins. These natural variations are part of the character of hand-dyed yarn and help create a beautiful, organic fade.

Jasmine 4 Ply – Merino Silk

Jasmine 4 Ply is a beautifully balanced blend of 50% merino and 50% silk, combining the softness and elasticity of merino with the natural lustre and drape of silk. This non-superwash base has a smooth, relaxed twist that creates a lovely fabric with gentle drape and a subtle sheen.

At 400 metres per 100 grams, Jasmine 4 Ply is a versatile fingering weight yarn, ideal for shawls, lightweight garments, scarves, socks and fine accessories. It has lovely stitch definition while retaining the soft, fluid quality that comes from the silk content.

Jasmine 4 Ply works beautifully on its own and is particularly lovely when paired with our Shui Yun mohair and silk, adding a soft halo and extra dimension to your knitting or crochet.

Knitting

• Recommended needles: 2.75–3.25mm

• Typical gauge: 28–32 stitches per 10cm

• Gauge will vary according to needle size, tension and project.

Crochet

• Recommended hook: 2.5–3.5mm

• Hook size can be adjusted depending on the fabric and drape required.

Care

Jasmine 4 Ply is a non-superwash yarn and should be treated gently to avoid felting. Hand wash in cool water using a wool wash, taking care not to agitate or rub the yarn. Rinse gently, squeeze out excess water without wringing, roll in a towel and lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight.
