Knit for the Girls – Supporting Breast Cancer Research
I’m honoured to be part of Knit for the Girls, a project initiated by Louie and Lola Yarns in Tasmania that brings together a wonderful group of Australian indie dyers with a shared purpose – raising funds for breast cancer research.
Breast cancer touches so many of us, whether through family, friends, or our own journeys, and this project is a way we can contribute through the craft we love. Each participating dyer has created something special for the fundraiser, and together we hope to make a meaningful difference.

Jasmine 4:
Jasmine is a smooth and lustrous 4 ply yarn made from 50% merino and 50% silk. With a relaxed twist and soft handle, it glides through the hands and creates fabric with a gentle drape and elegant sheen. The balance of merino and silk brings together warmth, strength, and a light-reflecting glow, making it a versatile choice for all seasons.
This yarn knits comfortably on 2.75mm to 3.25mm needles, with a suggested gauge of 28–32 stitches per 10cm depending on your tension and project. Ideal for garments, shawls, lightweight accessories, and fine layering pieces, Jasmine gives a smooth, polished finish and holds its shape beautifully.
