Lava Core
Like the glowing heart of molten rock beneath a cooling volcanic crust, Lava Core is a rich, earthy red that radiates quiet intensity. Deep terracotta, burnt umber and smouldering brick red mingle with warm copper undertones, creating a colourway that feels both rugged and timeless.
Subtle tonal variations travel through each skein, adding depth and movement that shine beautifully in textured stitches, cables and simple stockinette alike. The warm, mineral-inspired palette makes it an ideal choice for garments, shawls and accessories, bringing a sense of natural richness without overpowering a design.
Inspired by the raw beauty of the earth, Lava Core captures the moment when glowing magma begins to cool, leaving behind layers of warm, weathered stone and iron-rich earth. It pairs beautifully with soft creams, weathered greys, charcoal, olive greens and muted golds for striking yet harmonious combinations.
As each skein is hand dyed in small batches, gentle variations are part of its unique character. To achieve the most even distribution of colour in larger projects, we recommend alternating skeins every few rows.

Masala double knit DK (8 ply/DK yarn: 60% sw merino, 20% silk and 20% yak.
It’s beautifully soft and smooth - just a pleasure to knit with.
It is recommended that you hand wash in cool to luke warm water with a wool wash to prevent dissociating. Slight bleeding may occur but should not effect the final colour. The merino is superwash but the dyes can disassociate in hot water.
