Lilac sits delicately between lavender and silver. It's a pale purple with cool undertones, softened by a silvery sheen that catches the light and gives the colour a pearly finish. There's an airy, slightly translucent quality to it—more restrained than mauve, less sweet than pastel pink. It holds a certain quietness, with shifts in depth that move from a muted heather tone in shadow to a brighter, icy violet where the light strikes. This is not a bold or assertive purple, but one that carries itself with understated calm and just enough complexity to keep it interesting.
