Lilac Blush

Lilac Blush is a soft, dusky lilac with gentle rosy pink undertones. The colour shifts subtly between muted purple and a soft blush pink, giving it a slightly vintage, powdery quality. There is enough depth in the purple to keep it from feeling overly pastel, while the rosy undertones soften the shade and add warmth. Beautifully tonal, Lilac Blush works particularly well with dusty pinks, mauves, lavender, soft greys and deeper purples. It is a lovely choice for shawls, sweaters and accessories where you want a muted, wearable purple with a little variation and character.

Darjeeling 4 Ply

Darjeeling is a beautifully soft and versatile 4 ply / fingering weight yarn made from 80% superwashed merino and 20% nylon. The merino gives this yarn its lovely softness and comfortable handle, while the nylon adds strength and durability without compromising its feel.

At 400 metres per 100g, Darjeeling is an excellent choice for socks, where the added nylon provides extra resilience for everyday wear. It is equally suited to lightweight sweaters, cardigans, shawls, wraps, scarves and other garments and accessories where softness, drape and durability are important.

The 4 ply construction gives good stitch definition and makes Darjeeling particularly adaptable to lace, textured stitches, cables and colourwork. It takes hand-dyed colour beautifully, allowing both subtle and highly saturated colourways to shine.

Care

Hand wash gently in cool water using a wool wash. Avoid soaking for extended periods, agitation and wringing. Gently squeeze out excess water and dry flat. Although the merino is superwashed, gentle handling will help maintain the appearance and softness of your finished project.

As with all hand-dyed yarns, we recommend alternating skeins when using more than one skein in a project to help blend natural variations between skeins.
