Murmurs Fade

Murmurs is a quiet, ocean-toned fade that moves gently from deep shadowed teal through softened blue-greens to a pale seafoam finish. The transition is smooth and natural, allowing each skein to blend effortlessly into the next for shawls, garments, and accessories with flowing colour movement.

The darkest shade carries the depth of still water and evergreen forests, gradually lifting through cool teal and weathered turquoise before settling into a misty, light aqua. Sulkazura is a distinctive 4 ply yarn spun from 100% tussah silk, celebrating the raw, organic nature of this beautiful fibre. Unlike smooth cultivated silk, tussah silk retains a gently rustic texture with visible character throughout the strand, giving your knitting and crochet a sense of depth and movement.

Despite its earthy feel, Sulkazura carries a soft, understated sheen that catches the light in a quiet, elegant way. The yarn has a pleasing substance in the hand, feeling slightly bulky for a 4 ply, which makes it especially satisfying to work with and ideal for projects where texture matters.
