Midnight is a deep, saturated navy that carries a subtle undercurrent of teal, giving it a cool, velvety richness. In certain lights, the teal undertone becomes more apparent, adding dimension and lift to what could otherwise be a flat dark blue. It's moody and intense, yet not stark—an elegant, versatile shade that pairs beautifully with both warm and cool tones. Midnight makes a striking contrast to lighter hues like silver, soft greys, or pale greens, and holds its own alongside rich jewel tones or earthy neutrals. Complex and quietly bold, it’s a colour that brings depth to any palette.
Tonal variation throughout the skein- and of course you have the marvellous flecking and halo of the linen fibres not taking the dye.
Perfect for shawls, stoles and combining with other yarns (to give it a bit of strength). Not recommended for sweaters or hard wearing garments. This is a fairly losely spun single.
