Patina

Patina is a richly layered colourway inspired by the changing surface of aged copper. Deep teal and blue-green flow through shades of verdigris, turquoise and weathered green, with darker touches of forest, olive and burnished brown adding depth.

The colours shift and overlap across the skein, creating areas of clear blue-green alongside shadowed, earthy tones. Patina has an aged, organic quality, reminiscent of copper altered over time by weather and exposure, where traces of the original metal remain beneath its distinctive green-blue surface.

Shui Yun — Mohair & Silk Lace

65% Kid Mohair | 35% Silk
2 ply / Laceweight | 420m per 50g

Shui Yun is a light, airy laceweight yarn combining soft kid mohair with a silk core. The fine mohair fibres create a gentle halo, while the silk adds strength and a subtle lustre, allowing colour to appear soft and luminous.

With 420 metres per 50g skein, Shui Yun can be used on its own to create feather-light shawls, scarves and garments with a soft, fluid fabric. It can also be held together with another yarn to add depth, texture and a gentle haze of colour. Pair it with a coordinating shade for a blended effect, or use a contrasting colour to create greater variation and interest.

Shui Yun is particularly suited to lace patterns, open textures and simple designs that allow the soft halo to become part of the finished fabric. The combination of kid mohair and silk creates warmth without heaviness and adds a light, cloud-like layer to knitted or crocheted projects.

Best suited for:
Lace shawls, scarves, lightweight garments, layering pieces and holding together with another yarn.

Please note:
Mohair naturally develops a soft halo and may shed some loose fibres, particularly during handling and knitting. As with many fine laceweight yarns, care should be taken when unravelling, as the fibres may catch against one another.

Care:
Hand wash gently in cool water using a mild wool wash. Avoid agitation, wringing or rubbing. Gently press out excess water and lay flat to dry.
