Pickle- on Silk and Mohair - Shui Yun, 2 ply/laceweight

The colour Pickle is a vivid, organic green, made complex by subtle shifts in tone. It sits somewhere between the brightness of new spring growth and the deeper, fermented green of its namesake. The palette blends grassy lime, olive, and golden-chartreuse hues, with soft touches of ochre that lend a mellow, earthy character. The overall impression is fresh but grounded—visibly alive without being loud.

Pickle is full of nuance. Some areas lean slightly more yellow, others more leafy or mossy, creating a gentle variegation that keeps the colour interesting.

Despite its brightness, Pickle isn’t sharp or acidic. It has a rounded, botanical quality, reminiscent of eucalyptus tips or freshly bruised herbs. It pairs well with neutrals, clay tones, or deeper greens for tonal work, and can bring a lift of colour when used beside cooler greys or soft browns.

This is a colour that works well across seasons—fresh enough for spring, yet earthy enough to carry through autumn. Whether used alone or with others, Pickle brings a sense of wild greenness and vitality to any project.

After seeing how one of my customers masterfully blends her luxury yarns - combining lace weights and luxury silks with Shui Yun I knew I should offer it in my line up.

Combine it with silk or merino for a wonderfully soft and fluffy project!

It is highly recommended that you hand wash in cool to lukewarm water with a special silk detergent. Slight bleeding may occur but should not effect the final colour.
