Red Kangaroo
Red Kangaroo is a rich, sun-baked red drawn straight from the Australian landscape. It carries the warmth of iron-rich earth and desert dust, layered with tonal shifts of burnt sienna, ochre and deep russet. In some lights it leans towards a glowing terracotta; in others, the deeper chestnut undertones rise to the surface, giving the colour depth and movement across the skein.
There’s a grounded strength to this shade. It feels elemental and bold without being brash — a red tempered by brown, softened by copper, and warmed with subtle golden flickers. The variation throughout the yarn ensures fabric with life and texture, whether worked in simple stockinette or intricate stitch patterns.
Red Kangaroo pairs beautifully with soft neutrals, smoky greys and inky blues, but it also holds its own as a statement colour in garments and accessories. Think heritage jumpers, textured cardigans, and shawls that echo the colours of wide open plains at dusk.
A confident, earthy red with unmistakable character.

It’s beautifully soft and smooth with a firm twist and great stitch definition - just a pleasure to knit with.
Hand wash in luke warm water to ensure longevity of the dyes.
It is recommended that you hand wash in cool to luke warm water with a wool wash to prevent dissociating. Slight bleeding may occur but should not effect the final colour. The merino is superwash but the dyes can disassociate in hot water.
