Rich Buttercream ooak - 4 ply in silk and merino - White Cloud

Rich Buttercream is a soft, golden yellow with a creamy depth and a gentle richness. Reminiscent of freshly churned butter, it has a lovely balance of warm buttery tones and subtle hints of honey. The colour is brighter than a traditional cream, yet softer and more muted than a sunny yellow, giving it a smooth, mellow appearance. There is a slight golden undertone that adds depth without making the shade too strong or saturated.

Rich Buttercream has the appeal of a classic warm yellow, reminiscent of homemade custard, golden cream and sunlit fields. A cheerful yet understated shade, it brings a little sunshine to any colour palette and works beautifully alongside soft neutrals, warm browns, blush pinks and deeper golden tones.

White Cloud 4 Ply

50% Merino | 50% Silk | Non-Superwash | 400m / 100g

White Cloud is a beautifully balanced 4 ply yarn combining 50% merino wool with 50% silk. The merino provides softness, body and a little elasticity, while the silk adds a smooth handle, subtle lustre and lovely drape. As a non-superwash yarn, it retains the natural character of the wool and is particularly well suited to shawls, lightweight garments, cardigans, colourwork and other projects where softness and drape are important.

The 4 ply/fingering weight works well across a range of gauges, from a more open fabric for shawls through to a firmer fabric for garments. As a general starting point, 4 ply yarns are commonly worked at around 27–32 stitches per 10cm on 2.25–3.25mm needles, although your pattern gauge and preferred fabric should always determine the final needle size. Care

As White Cloud is a non-superwash merino and silk blend from Switzerland, we recommend gentle hand washing in cool or lukewarm water with a wool-safe detergent. Avoid agitation, rubbing and sudden changes in temperature, as the wool fibres can felt. Rinse gently, remove excess water without wringing and dry flat in its natural shape.
