Sea Mist is a delicate blend of soft aqua, pale blue and gentle green, creating a colour that is both fresh and quietly calming. Inspired by the fine veil of mist that drifts across the ocean at dawn, it carries a subtle silvery undertone that gives it an airy, luminous quality. The shade feels light and effortless, evoking cool sea breezes, still waters and distant coastal horizons softened by morning light. Neither distinctly blue nor green, Sea Mist sits beautifully between the two, offering a peaceful, understated elegance. It pairs effortlessly with crisp whites, warm neutrals, soft greys and deeper ocean tones, making it a wonderfully versatile colour for timeless, nature-inspired projects.

Rosemary – Suri Alpaca & Silk

Rosemary is a fine, fluffy yarn made from 65% Suri Alpaca and 35% Silk, combining the soft halo of Suri alpaca with the strength and subtle lustre of silk. The result is a lightweight yarn with a soft, airy texture and beautiful drape.

With 400 metres in each 50g skein, Rosemary is well suited to lightweight shawls, scarves, wraps and garments. It can be used on its own to create soft, airy fabrics or held alongside another yarn to add a fluffy halo, extra texture and a soft finish. Used as a companion strand, Rosemary can transform a smooth merino, silk or other yarn into a fabric with a softer, more textured appearance.

Rosemary is a versatile choice for knitters and crocheters looking to add the characteristic softness of Suri alpaca to their projects, whether worked alone or alongside another yarn.

Yarn information

  • Fibre: 65% Suri Alpaca, 35% Silk

  • Weight: Laceweight

  • Length: 400m / 50g

Knitting

Recommended needle size: 3.25–4.5mm, depending on the project and desired fabric.

Typical gauge: Approximately 18–24 stitches per 10cm over stocking stitch, depending on needle size and tension.

For open, airy shawls and lace patterns, a larger needle can help create a light, flowing fabric. When using Rosemary alongside another yarn, select your needle size according to the combined yarns and the fabric you wish to achieve.

Crochet

Recommended hook size: 3.5–4.5mm, depending on the pattern and desired fabric.

Rosemary works well in open crochet stitches, allowing its soft halo and drape to show through. A larger hook can be used for a looser fabric, while a smaller hook will produce a denser result.

Care instructions

Hand wash gently in cool water using a suitable wool wash. Do not rub, wring or agitate the yarn, as this may damage the fibres. Rinse carefully if required and gently press out excess water in a towel. Reshape and dry flat, away from direct heat and sunlight.

Using Rosemary with another yarn

Rosemary can be held together with another yarn to create a soft, fluffy finish and add texture without substantially increasing the weight of the fabric. It works particularly well with smooth yarns when you want to introduce a gentle halo while retaining the character of the main yarn.

When combining Rosemary with another yarn, the finished gauge will depend on both yarns, your needle or hook size and your individual tension. We recommend making a tension swatch before beginning your project.
