Nettle is a woollen-spun 4 ply base made from 100% Australian-grown Corriedale wool, with every step—from fleece to dyeing—done locally here in Victoria Australia. With a distinctly coarse feel and a sturdy handle, this yarn is built for outer layers, colourwork, and structured garments that need durability and grip.
Each skein runs to 350 metres per 90 grams (the skeins can vary from 98 gms to 102 gms), offering excellent yardage for sweaters, cardigans, and accessories. It’s not soft, and it’s not pretending to be—this is a yarn for knitters who appreciate traditional wool with bite. No superwash, no nylon—just honest, hard-wearing Corriedale at a discounted price while stock lasts. Only OB because after this there is no more.
