A Decade in Colour

This collection marks ten years of dyeing at Green Tea Yarns — ten years of colour experiments, lessons learned, risks taken, and a whole lot of skeins on the line. To celebrate, I’ve gone right back to the beginning.

These yarns are three of the four bases I started with all those years ago: White Cloud 4 ply, Echinacea 2 ply, and Ginseng 4 ply. They’ve been there from the earliest days, shaping how I dye, how colour behaves, and how each base tells its own story.

They’re dyed here in the three colours from my very first collection: Tamarind Sunset, Dreams of a Starry Night, and Oysters on the Bay — shades that have stood the test of time and now sit firmly in the Classics. Returning to them feels a little like opening an old sketchbook: familiar, meaningful, and still full of life.

This is a small, thoughtful collection — a quiet celebration of where it all began, and how those beginnings continue to influence everything that comes after.
