The colour Dry Earth is a rich, grounded blend of golden ochre, clay brown, and muted olive tones. It captures the warmth and depth of sunbaked soil after rain — earthy yet luminous, with subtle tonal shifts that move from honeyed gold to deeper, russet brown. The overall effect is natural and organic, with a soft, weathered glow that brings to mind the Australian landscape in late summer. Perfect for knitwear inspired by nature, texture, and the quiet beauty of the land.
Fibre Information
Alishan is a 100% mohair yarn with a smooth, non-fluffy finish that highlights the fibre’s natural lustre rather than a halo. Light in the hand yet surprisingly strong, it has a gentle sheen and a crisp stitch definition that works beautifully for both simple and textured patterns.
Spun to a 4 ply fingering weight, this yarn is ideal for lightweight garments, shawls, scarves and fine accessories. It can be used on its own for an elegant, fluid fabric or held alongside another yarn to add strength and subtle shine without altering texture.
Each skein is 50 grams with approximately 200 metres, making it a versatile choice for thoughtful, detailed knitting and crochet where clarity of stitch and drape really matter.

Care:
Hand wash gently in cool water using a wool-friendly detergent. Do not soak, bleach, or tumble dry. Gently squeeze out excess water (do not wring) and lay flat to dry in shade. With careful handling, this yarn will soften slightly over time while retaining its structure and sheen.
Perfect for knitters who love mohair for its character, but prefer a cleaner, more defined fabric.
