Forest Peat is a deep, earthy brown with subtle charcoal and muted plum undertones. The colour has a rich, weathered quality, reminiscent of damp forest soil, dark peat and fallen leaves gathered beneath the trees. Soft hints of grey and a gentle, cool sheen give the brown added depth, shifting between smoky charcoal and dark chocolate depending on the light. It is a subdued, natural shade with a slightly moody character, well suited to those who prefer darker neutrals with more complexity than a straightforward brown or black.

Ginseng 4 Ply / Fingering

Ginseng is a beautiful 100% mulberry silk yarn with a smooth, lustrous finish and wonderful drape. At 400 metres per 100g, it is a versatile 4 ply / fingering-weight yarn that works particularly well for shawls, lightweight garments, scarves and other projects where the natural sheen and fluidity of silk can really shine.

The smooth surface makes Ginseng especially lovely for textured stitches, lace and colourwork, while its drape gives finished pieces a fluid quality that softens beautifully with wear. It is also an excellent choice for luxurious shawls and accessories where you want colour to remain the focus while the silk adds subtle depth and lustre.
