Since this time of year I'm busy dyeing up the end of year kits this will not be dyed until after those are mailed out... so we're looking at a December delivery (combined with the busy mailing season these kits may be even longer).

Knit for the Girls – Six Skein Fade

Knit something beautiful. Help make a difference.

This gorgeous six-skein fade has been created for Knit for the Girls, a fundraising project bringing together Australian independent yarn dyers to raise money for breast cancer research in Australia.

The six colours move through a rich progression of beautiful purples, with each shade flowing into the next to create a deep, harmonious fade. Together, the six skeins make a stunning statement and provide plenty of yarn for a sweater, cardigan, shawl or other larger garment.

The kit contains six 100g skeins of Jasmine 8 , giving you 1,272 metres in total. The colours have been chosen to work beautifully together, creating a fade that can be enjoyed as a complete garment or used across a number of projects. The 8 ply offers the option of adding extra skeins for your project if you need them.

And there is an extra reason to love this kit: 20% of the sale price will be donated to breast cancer research in Australia.

Breast cancer has touched the lives of so many families and communities. Knit for the Girls gives us a lovely way to come together through our shared love of yarn and making, while contributing to research that may help improve outcomes for those affected by breast cancer.

Six skeins. One beautiful fade. And 20% going towards an important cause.

As with all hand-dyed yarns, there may be subtle variations between skeins. These natural variations are part of the character of hand-dyed yarn and help create a beautiful, organic fade.

Comes in a box to keep it in before you use it.

Jasmine 8 Ply DK – Merino Silk

Jasmine 8 Ply is a beautiful blend of 50% superwash merino and 50% silk, combining the softness and elasticity of merino with the natural lustre and drape of silk. This DK weight version has a slightly tighter twist than our 4 Ply Jasmine, giving it excellent stitch definition and a smooth, even fabric.

At 212 metres per 100 grams, Jasmine 8 Ply is a versatile yarn for garments and accessories. It is particularly well suited to sweaters, cardigans, shawls, cowls, hats and other projects where you want a soft fabric with good drape and definition. The tighter twist also makes it a lovely choice for textured stitches, cables and colourwork.

Jasmine 8 Ply can be knitted on its own or paired with our Shui Yun mohair and silk to add a soft halo and extra dimension to your project.

NB - Images are of the 4 ply kit and will be replaced with the 8 ply once I have dyed it up.

Care

Although the merino is superwash treated, we recommend gentle hand washing in cool water with a wool wash to help preserve the silk, hand-dyed colours and overall beauty of the yarn. Do not wring or agitate. Gently squeeze out excess water, roll in a towel and lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight.
