Midnight in Paradise - 5 ply silk and merino - Jasmine 5

Midnight is a deep, rich navy blue with an inky depth reminiscent of the night sky. Dark and moody, it sits just shy of black while retaining a clear blue tone that becomes more apparent in the light. The colour has a slightly softened, complex quality rather than being a flat, solid navy, giving beautifully subtle variation across the skein. Midnight works wonderfully as a classic dark neutral, paired with softer shades, jewel tones or brighter colours for contrast. It’s a particularly useful shade for sweaters, cardigans, shawls and accessories, adding depth without the starkness of true black.

Jasmine 5 Ply – Sport Weight

Jasmine 5 Ply is a beautiful blend of 50% superwash merino and 50% mulberry silk, combining the softness and elasticity of merino with the smoothness and gentle sheen of silk.

A little heavier than Jasmine 4 Ply, this sport-weight yarn has a tighter ply twist, giving it a smooth, well-defined stitch and excellent stitch definition. The superwash merino makes it practical for garments and accessories that need a little more ease of care, while the silk adds drape, lustre and a lovely handle.

Jasmine 5 Ply is particularly suited to sweaters, cardigans, shawls, scarves, hats and other garments, and works beautifully for textured stitches, lace and colourwork. Combine with a thread of Shui Yun for a perfect sweater or cardigan.

As a hand-dyed yarn, Jasmine 5 Ply takes colour beautifully, with the merino providing depth and the silk adding subtle luminosity to the finished colour.

Care Instructions

Hand wash gently in cool or lukewarm water using a wool wash. Do not agitate or rub. Rinse thoroughly and gently squeeze out excess water. Reshape and dry flat. Do not tumble dry.

Please note: Hand-dyed yarns can vary slightly between dye lots. For larger projects, we recommend purchasing enough yarn from the same dye lot where possible, or alternating skeins when working with multiple skeins.
