Slate Quarry is a deep, smoky charcoal with subtle blue-grey undertones. Inspired by weathered slate and stone softened by years of exposure, it shifts gently between charcoal, graphite and cool steel grey, with darker and lighter areas creating quiet depth across the skein. A versatile neutral with a cooler character than a true black, Slate Quarry works beautifully on its own or paired with soft greys, blues, muted greens and deeper jewel tones. It is a particularly useful shade for understated garments and accessories where texture and stitch pattern can take centre stage.
Darjeeling 4 Ply
Darjeeling is a beautifully soft and versatile 4 ply / fingering weight yarn made from 80% superwashed merino and 20% nylon. The merino gives this yarn its lovely softness and comfortable handle, while the nylon adds strength and durability without compromising its feel.
At 400 metres per 100g, Darjeeling is an excellent choice for socks, where the added nylon provides extra resilience for everyday wear. It is equally suited to lightweight sweaters, cardigans, shawls, wraps, scarves and other garments and accessories where softness, drape and durability are important.
The 4 ply construction gives good stitch definition and makes Darjeeling particularly adaptable to lace, textured stitches, cables and colourwork. It takes hand-dyed colour beautifully, allowing both subtle and highly saturated colourways to shine.

Care
Hand wash gently in cool water using a wool wash. Avoid soaking for extended periods, agitation and wringing. Gently squeeze out excess water and dry flat. Although the merino is superwashed, gentle handling will help maintain the appearance and softness of your finished project.
As with all hand-dyed yarns, we recommend alternating skeins when using more than one skein in a project to help blend natural variations between skeins.
