Slow Fashion is a deep, earthy red with brick and oxblood undertones, layered with subtle tonal shifts through the skein. It sits somewhere between warm rust and dark burgundy, giving it depth without reading too brown or too purple. The colour has a worn-in, natural feel — rich and grounded rather than bright — and works beautifully in garments where texture and stitch definition matter. A considered red that feels timeless, practical, and quietly confident.
Tonal variations throughout the skeins.
Weight & Length
4 ply, sock or fingering yarn. 100 gms gives you 400 metres
Fibre
Darjeeling yarn: 80% Merino, 20% Nylon
Beautifully soft and just the right amount of nylon for a pair of socks. This also makes a gorgeous shawl or other wearable object.
It is recommended that you hand wash in cool to lukewarm water with a wool wash to prevent dissociating. Slight bleeding may occur but should not affect the final colour. The merino is superwash but the dye's not. (However, I'm not hand washing my socks so there!)
