Sunbleached - 4 ply in silk and merino - White Cloud

 Sunbleached is a soft, muted golden yellow with a creamy, sun-faded quality. The colour shifts between pale straw, warm vanilla and gentle honey tones, with lighter cream areas adding depth and a softly variegated appearance. It has the feel of golden sunlight that has been softened and faded over time.

White Cloud is a beautifully balanced 4 ply yarn combining 50% merino wool with 50% silk. The merino provides softness, body and a little elasticity, while the silk adds a smooth handle, subtle lustre and lovely drape. As a non-superwash yarn, it retains the natural character of the wool and is particularly well suited to shawls, lightweight garments, cardigans, colourwork and other projects where softness and drape are important.

The 4 ply/fingering weight works well across a range of gauges, from a more open fabric for shawls through to a firmer fabric for garments. As a general starting point, 4 ply yarns are commonly worked at around 27–32 stitches per 10cm on 2.25–3.25mm needles, although your pattern gauge and preferred fabric should always determine the final needle size. Care

As White Cloud is a non-superwash merino and silk blend, we recommend gentle hand washing in cool or lukewarm water with a wool-safe detergent. Avoid agitation, rubbing and sudden changes in temperature, as the wool fibres can felt. Rinse gently, remove excess water without wringing and dry flat in its natural shape.
