Twilight

Twilight is a deep, muted blue with a dusky quality that sits somewhere between stormy blue, slate and blue-black. The colour has a softly greyed undertone, giving it a subdued, slightly weathered appearance rather than a bright or saturated blue. There are subtle variations through the skeins, with darker navy tones alongside softer charcoal-blue and smoky grey notes.

On Jasmine 8 ply, the colour has a beautiful depth that allows the texture and twist of the yarn to show through. It has the feeling of the sky just after sunset, when the last traces of daylight are fading and the deeper blue of evening begins to take over. A versatile blue for garments and accessories, Twilight would work particularly well with soft greys, muted greens, dusty pinks and other deep, atmospheric shades.

Jasmine 8 Ply DK – Merino Silk

Jasmine 8 Ply is a beautiful blend of 50% superwash merino and 50% silk, combining the softness and elasticity of merino with the natural lustre and drape of silk. This DK weight version has a slightly tighter twist than our 4 Ply Jasmine, giving it excellent stitch definition and a smooth, even fabric.

At 212 metres per 100 grams, Jasmine 8 Ply is a versatile yarn for garments and accessories. It is particularly well suited to sweaters, cardigans, shawls, cowls, hats and other projects where you want a soft fabric with good drape and definition. The tighter twist also makes it a lovely choice for textured stitches, cables and colourwork.

Jasmine 8 Ply can be knitted on its own or paired with our Shui Yun mohair and silk to add a soft halo and extra dimension to your project.

Care

Although the merino is superwash treated, we recommend gentle hand washing in cool water with a wool wash to help preserve the silk, hand-dyed colours and overall beauty of the yarn. Do not wring or agitate. Gently squeeze out excess water, roll in a towel and lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight.
